2011 blogtasia in review

Happy New Year! (Applicable to the tellingly named Central Standard Time Zone dwellers. Or, as they say, half an hour different in Newfoundland.)

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog. It is moderately amusing, hence my interest in sharing it. (And you should know that you are under constant surveillance by WordPress, Google, Facebook, and the rest, if you didn’t know that already.)

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,500 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 58 trips to carry that many people.

What a meaningful and reasonable unit of measure. Like when people say “That’s enough rubber bands to go to the moon and back three times!” Why do you have that many rubber bands? How do you expect me to conceptualize outer space?

Anyhow, click here to see the complete report. Amusez-vous bien.
